Therefore encourage one another and build each other up...
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Words have incredible power—they can build up or tear down bring life or death. As followers of Christ we are called to be encouragers speaking life hope and truth into the lives of others. Encouragement strengthens us and our relationships cultivates community and is a reflection of God's love. In a world full of negativity and criticism being an encourager sets us apart and draws people closer to the love of Jesus. Encouragement doesn't always require grand gestures; even a simple word or act of kindness can make a lasting impact.

Who can you encourage today? Are your words building others up or tearing them down?
Prayer
Lord help me to use my words to build up and encourage those around me. Teach me to see the good in others and to speak life into their situations. Let my words reflect Your love and bring hope and strength. Amen.
